Welcome to the REAL Diary of a Wedding Planner

Let me start by telling you something you already know: wedding planning is a whirlwind of chaos, glitter, and surprisingly lots and lots of caffeine. But what you might not know is just how wild and hilarious it can get behind the scenes. If you’ve ever wondered what really happens during the process of creating that “perfect day,” buckle up—because I’m about to spill the tea. (literally, because I'm also incredibly clumsy and will probably spill my tea)

I’m Karie, your friendly neighborhood wedding planner, and I want to welcome you to my blog, The REAL Diary of a Wedding Planner. This isn’t going to be your typical, “how to have the perfect wedding” kind of blog. (You can get that advice from Pinterest and other Planners.) Instead, I’m here to share the real, raw, and often ridiculous stories from my life in the wedding world. You know, the ones where things go completely off the rails, but somehow we all end up laughing about it at the end.

Over the years, I’ve helped couples plan everything from backyard barbecues to fairytale-inspired ballroom weddings. I’ve witnessed some of the most heartwarming moments, like tearful first looks and touching vows, and some of the most... well, let’s say “creative” last-minute requests. (Spoiler: “Is it legal to pass around a bong to do a ceremonial 'hit' with all our guests before we eat dinner" But sure, let’s talk about it.)

Why am I sharing all of this? Simple: because wedding planning is both a gift and a circus. I want to give you a peek behind the curtain—not just the glam, but also the madness. I promise to keep it real, laugh at my own mistakes, and maybe, just maybe, help you avoid a few wedding planning disasters along the way. Whether you’re a bride-to-be, a future groom, a fellow wedding planner, or someone who’s just here for the drama, you’ll find something to laugh (and cringe) about here.

So, get comfortable and come along for the ride! I’ll be sharing the funniest, weirdest, and most heartwarming tales from my years in the biz. :)
